On Thursday, Manipur’s Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh led a crucial security meeting to assess the current law and order conditions in the wake of the tragic blast in Tronglaobi, which resulted in the deaths of two children.
The meeting took place at the Cabinet Hall within the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and included notable attendees such as State Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, alongside several senior police officials.
According to official sources speaking to The Indian Express, the gathering was prompted by intelligence reports from central agencies suggesting that a certain group with ulterior motives is trying to undermine the state government and hinder the ongoing peace efforts.
Furthermore, it was revealed that security measures have been intensified in the surrounding regions, especially in the border areas that are inhabited by the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities.
