Newly Uncovered Documents Disclose Correspondence from Suspect in Charlie Kirk Case

Tyler Robinson, the individual charged with the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, reportedly told his partner, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it,” as stated in newly released court documents.

On the day of the incident, September 10, 2025, Robinson allegedly instructed his boyfriend via text to “drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard,” according to the affidavit associated with the search warrant.

According to police reports, Robinson’s boyfriend discovered a handwritten note hidden beneath the keyboard. ABC News first disclosed the existence of this letter in September.

Authorities have stated that they examined the photograph of the note provided by the boyfriend. The letter reportedly contained a message expressing remorse, stating, “If you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry. I left the house this morning on a mission, and set an auto text.”

The note continued, “I am likely dead, or facing a lengthy prison sentence. I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it. I don’t know if I will/have succeeded, but I had hoped to make it home to you. I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary.”

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The 31-year-old was the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth activism organization, and the event was the inaugural stop of his “The American Comeback Tour,” aimed at engaging college students in discussions on contentious issues.

Following the shooting, Robinson allegedly fled the location, which led to an extensive manhunt. He turned himself in to law enforcement on the evening of September 11.

Robinson faces multiple charges, including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm resulting in serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and the commission of a violent crime in the presence of a minor. He has yet to enter a plea in this case.
