Television host Eamonn Holmes is currently recuperating in a hospital after experiencing a stroke.
A representative from GB News, where Holmes anchors the breakfast program, confirmed that he fell ill last week, and subsequent medical evaluations revealed that he had indeed suffered a stroke. Reports indicate that he is making positive progress in his treatment.
The spokesperson further noted, “Eamonn has requested privacy as he concentrates on his recovery. His colleagues and everyone at GB News are wishing him a swift return to health.”
The Northern Irish presenter co-hosts GB News Breakfast alongside Ellie Costello.
Prior to his tenure at GB News, the experienced broadcaster was a familiar face on ITV’s This Morning, where he partnered with his former co-host Ruth Langsford for many years.
Angelos Frangopoulos, CEO of GB News, expressed support, stating, “Eamonn is a cherished member of the GB News family, and we are with him throughout his recovery journey.”
