A formal complaint has been filed against the executive director and four other officials of a private firm located in Pune, following accusations of harassment towards a female employee while she was performing her duties.
The 33-year-old complainant, who is originally from Mumbai, first reported the incident by submitting a first information report (FIR) at a police station in Mumbai. The investigation has since been reassigned to the Shivajinagar police station in Pune.
The victim, employed by the Pune-based company, alleged that the executive director engaged in inappropriate behavior towards her and repeatedly stalked her during her work hours from May 2024 to April 2025. She also reported that he threatened her with professional repercussions should she choose to speak out about the incidents.
Despite raising her concerns with the company’s CEO and human resources representatives, she claims no action was taken in response to her allegations, and she was subsequently reassigned to the company’s Dubai office.
In light of the lack of action from her employer, the victim approached law enforcement, leading to her filing an FIR against the executive director and four other individuals, including the CEO, joint CEO, and the head of HR. The Shivajinagar police are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
