“‘What Time Is It? My Time is Thriving’: Ranveer Allahbadia Responds to Samay Raina’s Insights on India’s Got Latent, Emphasizing His Positive Outlook”

Following recent comments made by Samay Raina regarding a controversial joke by Ranveer Allahbadia on the popular YouTube series, India’s Got Latent, Ranveer appears to have responded with a subtle jab at the stand-up comedian. Despite facing renewed criticism after Samay’s stand-up special, Ranveer has expressed a commitment to maintaining a positive outlook.

When approached by a paparazzo who inquired whether he had been aware of any recent discussions about him, Ranveer replied that he only receives positive feedback. He emphasized, “The more positivity you cultivate within, the more positivity you attract.” He also mentioned that he possesses a good sense of humor and continues to bring laughter to others.

In a separate interaction with the media, Ranveer commented on his current situation, stating, “Mera samay bahut achha chal raha hai” (My time is going great right now). When the reporter referenced Samay Raina, Ranveer feigned ignorance, asking, “Samay? Kaun samay?” (Samay? Who Samay?), thus avoiding any direct commentary on Raina.

Earlier this week, Samay Raina released his stand-up special titled Still Alive, marking his return to the stage following the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent last February. The incident, sparked by an inappropriate joke from Ranveer during an episode, resulted in the removal of all episodes from YouTube and led to three FIRs being filed against Ranveer, Samay, Apoorva Makhija (also known as The Rebel Kid), and fellow YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani.

In his special, Samay criticized Ranveer for having cultivated a pristine public image for a decade, only to compromise it with a single joke last year. He stated that Ranveer repeated the same joke eight times during that episode, although Samay had cut the others from the final edit. He further claimed that Ranveer’s actions posed a significant threat to the future of stand-up comedy in India.

Following the uproar from last year, Ranveer Allahbadia publicly apologized for his comments, which had prompted calls for a ban on his podcast and drew criticism from various political figures, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and opposition leaders, who accused him of misusing his freedom of speech.

In an apology video shared on X, Ranveer acknowledged that his remarks were not only inappropriate but also lacked humor. He stated, “Comedy is not my forte. I’m here to say sorry.” Known as BeerBiceps, he emphasized that disrespecting family was never his intention and affirmed his commitment to using his platform more responsibly. He concluded by expressing hope for forgiveness and pledged to improve, mentioning that he had requested the removal of the insensitive parts from the video.
