During the agricultural fair in Raisen, located within the Vidisha parliamentary constituency represented by Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, senior leaders of the BJP showcased their friendly rapport as they delivered speeches on Saturday. Chouhan greeted Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with the affectionate term “Bhaisab,” while Singh reciprocated by referring to Chouhan as an “abhootpoorva mukhya mantri.” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also participated in the event, introducing a new political catchphrase, “Saflata ki pehchan, Shivraj Singh Chouhan,” while commending his predecessor for securing victories in six Lok Sabha elections as well as an equal number of state assembly elections.
In a notable cultural development, a life-sized statue of Swami Vivekananda has been unveiled just a short distance from the Amazon headquarters in Seattle, establishing a new cultural landmark in a city that is home to a significant population of Indian tech professionals. This monument is the first of its kind to be installed by a city government in the United States. The bronze statue was presented by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations as part of India’s initiative to promote its cultural heritage. This installation comes on the heels of the historic event in August 2025, where the Indian flag was raised atop the Space Needle, marking the first time a foreign national flag was flown from the iconic 605-foot structure.
