In a remarkable debut performance, Praful Hinge etched his name in Indian Premier League history by becoming the first bowler to achieve three wickets in his opening over. His fellow debutant from Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sakib Hussain, also made a significant impact, claiming four wickets and contributing to the team’s convincing 57-run victory over Rajasthan Royals.
While Hinge was wreaking havoc on the batting lineup, Hussain maintained a steady composure, taking the crucial wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal and later dismissing Donovan Ferreira, Jofra Archer, and Ravi Bishnoi, ultimately finishing with impressive figures of 4/24.
“Every player dreams of a debut like this, and it feels incredible to achieve it. I’m thrilled. The bowling coach informed me just a day before the match that I would be playing. From that moment, my sole focus was on performing to the best of my ability. I mentally prepared myself to give my all,” Hussain shared during the post-match ceremony.

“Varun (Aaron) bhai has been coaching me for the last four years. Any improvement you see in my bowling is due to his guidance. I owe him a lot. It feels amazing to deliver such a performance on my debut; it’s really special,” he added.
Both Hinge and Hussain took four wickets apiece after Ishan Kishan’s explosive 91 runs, leading Sunrisers Hyderabad to a solid victory over Rajasthan Royals in their IPL encounter on Monday. In pursuit of 217 runs, Rajasthan Royals faltered dramatically, finding themselves at 9 for 5 within the first three overs, ultimately ending their innings at 159 in 19 overs. Donovan Ferreira (69) and Ravindra Jadeja (45) managed to put together a 118-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
Earlier in the match, Kishan played a pivotal role in bolstering the SRH innings, especially after early losses of Abhishek Sharma (0) and Travis Head (18). He showcased his batting prowess with eight fours and six sixes, scoring 91 runs off just 44 balls, helping SRH to a total of 216 for six.
SRH also received valuable contributions from Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 40 runs off 26 balls, Nitish Kumar Reddy with a quick 28, and Salil Arora, who remained unbeaten with 24 runs off just 13 balls.
