Apple’s latest settlement may provide iPhone users with reimbursements of up to $95.

iPhone users may be entitled to receive up to $95 each as part of a proposed $250 million settlement aimed at addressing allegations that Apple misled consumers regarding the capabilities of Siri’s artificial intelligence, as indicated in a recent court document.

The class action lawsuit, submitted to the federal court in California’s Northern District on behalf of U.S. consumers, alleges that Apple misrepresented “Enhanced Siri features” that were not actually available, influencing customers’ purchasing decisions based on misleading advertising.

The plaintiffs are advocating for a settlement amount of $250 million, and if a judge approves this settlement, it could rank among the most significant settlements involving Apple to date.

An Apple representative commented via email to CBS News, stating, “Apple has reached a settlement to address claims concerning the availability of two additional features. We settled this matter to concentrate on what we excel at—providing our users with the most innovative products and services.”

Here are the key details regarding the proposed settlement:

The settlement applies to individuals who purchased an iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025.

Approximately 37 million iPhone users are anticipated to qualify for this settlement based on the court filing.

Eligible customers will be contacted via email or traditional mail regarding their ability to submit a claim. Additionally, an online social media initiative will share information about the settlement website and eligibility criteria, as noted in the court filing.

Each eligible customer is set to receive $25 for each device covered under the settlement. However, this amount may fluctuate, potentially resulting in payments ranging from $25 to $95 per device, depending on the volume of claims submitted and other influencing factors, according to the court document.

Specific instructions for submitting a claim have not yet been disclosed. The Clarkson Law Firm, which initiated the lawsuit against Apple, indicated on its website that a dedicated settlement website with comprehensive details will be launched in “a few weeks.”

The court filing also mentioned that the forthcoming website “will contain all the necessary information regarding the settlement,” along with a contact number for consumers seeking further clarification.
