FINANCIAL CHRONICLE \u2013 The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has issued a caution to the public regarding diminishing water resources and is taking proactive measures to prevent a severe shortage by restricting supply at this time.<\/p>\n
Chandana Bandara, the chairman of the NWSDB, informed journalists, \u201cWe foresee challenges emerging in the next fortnight, particularly with the holiday season approaching.\u201d<\/p>\n
He emphasized the necessity of managing the water supply effectively. Bandara indicated that if the NWSDB maintains its current level of water distribution, the Kalatuwawa Reservoir will only have enough water to last for the next 20 days, necessitating the imposition of supply limitations.<\/p>\n
