The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) is expected to release the results for the Class 12 Pre-University Course (PUC) examinations on April 7, 2026, according to statements made by the Minister. However, an official press release to confirm the exact timing is still pending. Students will be able to view their results on the official websites, kseab.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in, and are advised to have their login credentials ready to access their marksheets.<\/p>\n
The PUC examinations took place from February 28 to March 17, 2026, with a total of 710,363 students enrolled from 5,174 pre-university colleges. This includes 646,801 first-time candidates, 50,540 repeat candidates, and 13,022 private candidates.<\/p>\n
To facilitate the examinations, KSEAB established 1,217 examination centers throughout the state. Of the enrolled students, 292,645 belong to the Science stream, 211,174 are in Commerce, and 142,982 are studying Arts.<\/p>\n
In late February, KSEAB faced scrutiny after an unauthorized PUC 2 question paper was circulated online. In the previous academic year, the PUC results were announced on April 8, following exams that were held from March 1 to March 20, 2025. The overall pass rate for that year was 69.16%, with 476,256 students successfully passing out of 688,678 who took the exams.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, for this year’s SSLC and PU examinations, School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa has introduced a scheme for free bus travel for students using Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) services, provided they present valid hall tickets. Similar arrangements have been made with private bus operators in coastal and Malnad areas.<\/p>\n
Last year’s results reflected that students in the Arts stream achieved a pass rate of 53.29%. In the Commerce stream, 155,425 out of 203,429 students passed, yielding a pass percentage of 76.07%.
