He added, \u201cNobody emphasizes that for the majority of those matches, we struggled to field a full team. Ultimately, it doesn\u2019t matter, and I don\u2019t dwell on it either. It\u2019s a situation we have to confront, and while it can be disheartening, it\u2019s the challenge we must tackle.\u201d<\/p>\n
Scott emphasized the importance of leadership during this time, stating that the leaders must keep the team united and perform on the field. He expressed confidence that the winless streak was not adversely affecting the players. \u201cOn the surface, there may be cause for concern, but I don\u2019t observe that within the group,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
\u201cI firmly believe in the character of our team and the players we have brought in. They are demonstrating resilience, even without immediate rewards, and I am optimistic that they possess the right qualities to overcome this period.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite the 0-4 record, Scott is not ready to abandon hope for the season. \u201cHistory shows that many teams have started worse, such as 0-5 or 0-6, and ended up making the finals. We are not in a position to dismiss the possibility of finals yet,\u201d he stated. \u201cHowever, our primary focus remains on the consistent development of our players.\u201d<\/p>\n
In positive news for the team, defender Jordan Ridley is expected to return for the match against Melbourne, and there are no new injury concerns for Zach Reid, who has been struggling with injuries but managed to avoid a new hamstring issue.
