In an effort to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of spaces beneath flyovers, the Delhi government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several private entities. This initiative was announced on Monday.<\/p>\n
The Public Works Department (PWD) is collaborating with Dalmia Bharat Limited, Godrej Industries Group, and EaseMyTrip Foundation as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to implement these projects.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the government’s commitment to partnering with the private sector to expedite public welfare initiatives and improve the overall infrastructure of the city.<\/p>\n
The project aims to transform flyover areas by incorporating landscaped green spaces, artistic wall murals, upgraded sanitation facilities, as well as seating and recreational areas for both indoor and outdoor activities. A significant feature of the Mangi Setu project will be a large mural depicting a visual narrative of the Ramayana. Gupta expressed that the goal is to revitalize underutilized spaces beneath flyovers into vibrant, functional environments for the community. \u201cThese areas will include green zones, artistic murals, seating options, enhanced sanitation, and other civic amenities, helping to establish them as notable urban landmarks,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n
She further noted that this initiative is expected to not only beautify Delhi but also foster greater public engagement in maintaining cleanliness and awareness of the environment.<\/p>\n
Describing the initiative as a move towards creating a \u201cclean and beautiful Delhi,\u201d the Chief Minister expressed gratitude towards the organizations involved and highlighted that such collaborations between the public and private sectors are vital for transforming the city into a modern, clean, and appealing urban center.<\/p>\n
PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh added that improving the aesthetic quality of the areas beneath flyovers would not only beautify the city but also enhance safety and utility for public use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
