A tragic incident in Mandurah, located south of Perth, has resulted in the death of an 11-year-old boy following a collision between his e-scooter and a car.<\/p>\n
Emergency responders were alerted to the accident on Mandurah Terrace, near Stewart Street, at approximately 5:10 PM yesterday. According to the police, the child\u2019s e-scooter collided with a Mazda sedan.<\/p>\n
The boy suffered severe injuries and was immediately transported to Peel Health Campus; however, he later succumbed to his injuries.<\/p>\n
The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old man, remained at the scene and is currently cooperating with the authorities as they conduct their investigation.<\/p>\n
The Major Crash Section is looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident and has appealed to the public for any dash-cam or mobile phone footage that may be relevant to the investigation. They encourage anyone with information to reach out to Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n
This incident adds to a concerning trend, as it follows a recent spate of fatalities on Western Australian roads, where four individuals lost their lives in separate accidents over the Easter holiday period.<\/p>\n
Among those fatalities, a 34-year-old man died early Monday morning after the vehicle he was in crashed into a tree on Hayman Road in Como, situated in Perth’s southern suburbs.
