Miller showcased his explosive batting in the final two overs, taking on Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. In the 19th over bowled by Siraj, Miller struck two sixes and a four from the first three deliveries after Siraj’s initial ball was wide. He was off the strike at the beginning of the last over, and although Vipraj Nigam managed to hit a four off the first ball from Prasidh, he was dismissed on the next delivery. Miller returned to the crease on the third ball, with DC needing eight runs to win from the last three deliveries. However, those six runs marked the conclusion of scoring in that over. Miller declined a single from the second last ball and subsequently missed a pull shot on the final delivery. The batters attempted to run for a single, but Kuldeep was unable to reach the striker’s end. There was a prolonged review to determine whether the ball was a wide due to height, but it was ruled a legal delivery.<\/p>\n
Rahul’s innings included 11 fours and four sixes, falling just eight runs shy of achieving the season’s first century. After struggling in the previous two matches, where he was dismissed for a golden duck against the Lucknow Super Giants and then scored just one run against the Mumbai Indians, this performance was crucial for him. Despite his earlier shortcomings, the DC top order had managed to win both matches thanks to young all-rounder Sameer Rizvi, but on Wednesday, he faced a formidable Rashid Khan, who dismissed Nitish Rana with the penultimate ball of the 10th over and followed up by sending Rizvi back for a golden duck on the next delivery.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the match, captain Shubman Gill made a strong return from injury, scoring 70 runs off 45 balls.
