AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus have confirmed their participation in a series of preseason matches in Perth this August.<\/p>\n
This marks the third consecutive year that AC Milan will hold a preseason game in Perth.<\/p>\n
The matches are set for August 5, 8, and 11.<\/p>\n
Perth is poised to become a hub for Italian preseason football this August, welcoming some of the most prominent clubs as they prepare for the upcoming European season.<\/p>\n
Alongside AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus, Palermo, a team competing in Serie B, will also take part in the matches.<\/p>\n
AC Milan will kick off the series by facing their traditional rivals, Inter, in the inaugural match at Perth Stadium on Wednesday, August 5.<\/p>\n
This will be AC Milan’s third year playing in Perth, having previously faced AS Roma last year and the A-League Men’s team Perth Glory in 2024.<\/p>\n
Inter will be making their debut in Australia and will remain for a second match against Juventus on Saturday, August 8.<\/p>\n
Juventus supporters will have another opportunity to see their team compete when they take on Palermo on Tuesday, August 11.<\/p>\n
The scheduled fixtures further solidify Perth’s ties with Italian football, following previous matches featuring AC Milan in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n
Perth Stadium was originally intended to host a Serie A match between AC Milan and Como in February.<\/p>\n
Due to the overlap with the Winter Olympic Games, AC Milan had to relocate this match from their home ground, San Siro.<\/p>\n
While both the Western Australian government and Serie A were supportive of the match taking place in Perth, they cited “onerous conditions from the Asian Football Confederation” as the reason it could not be officially sanctioned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
