Authorities are seeking public assistance in connection with the death of Richard Wills, a resident of Ouyen. The remains of Mr. Wills were discovered in a shallow grave on his rural property earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Mr. Wills was last observed departing from his residence on Hughs Street at approximately 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 5. It is reported that he intended to work on his property located along the Mallee Highway. When he did not return home for lunch, his family initiated a search of the area. He was subsequently reported missing the following day.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday at around 1:30 p.m., his body was located on the property, and authorities confirmed that he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound before being buried. A utility vehicle and Mr. Wills’s mobile phone were found at the site, prompting an investigation by the forensic team from Victoria Police.<\/p>\n
Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Trewavas, associated with the Missing Persons Squad, stated that the circumstances surrounding Mr. Wills’s death remain unclear. “It is evident that Richard has fallen victim to foul play.
