According to Sacnilk, the film, which merges science fiction with a romantic narrative, has garnered \u20b96.85 crore on its opening day in India. Additionally, it has earned \u20b92 crore from international markets, bringing its total global revenue to \u20b99.93 crore.<\/p>\n
The movie, available in both Tamil and Telugu, achieved an occupancy rate of 32.9% across 3,202 screenings nationwide. In the Tamil region, it performed particularly well, raking in \u20b95.45 crore from approximately 2,117 shows with a 37% occupancy rate. The Telugu version contributed \u20b91.40 crore from 1,085 screenings, achieving a 25% occupancy.<\/p>\n
Peak occupancy levels for the film were noted during night screenings, reaching 49.54%. This was followed by afternoon showings at 33%, evening at 28.15%, and morning sessions at 23%. The highest number of shows was recorded in Chennai, with 448 screenings and an occupancy of 53.8%. In Bengaluru, the occupancy was reported at 23%, while Coimbatore saw a 43% occupancy rate.<\/p>\n
In comparison to Pradeep Ranganathan’s previous film, Dude, LIK: Love Insurance Kompany has not matched those figures. Dude opened with \u20b99.75 crore in India and achieved a global total of \u20b919.28 crore on its first day, eventually accumulating \u20b9114.3 crore during its theatrical run. Another earlier release, Dragon, earned \u20b96.5 crore in India and \u20b912.23 crore worldwide on its opening day, concluding its run with \u20b9151 crore globally.<\/p>\n
LIK: Love Insurance Kompany is both penned and directed by Vignesh Shivan, produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio. The film features Pradeep Ranganathan alongside S. J. Suryah and Krithi Shetty in prominent roles, with supporting performances by Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri G Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, and Sunil Reddy.<\/p>\n
The plot is set in the year 2040, where individuals in romantic relationships can insure their love through a dating application called LIK.
