Personally, having faced injuries and setbacks has allowed me to focus on the finer details, particularly the work I do off the field, both mentally and physically.”<\/p>\n She has emphasized the importance of Zone 2 training\u2014endurance workouts that boost metabolism at low to moderate intensities\u2014which she takes “great pride in.”<\/p>\n Conversations with her partner, British cyclist Tao Geoghegan Hart, have also influenced her approach, as she explores insights from athletes in diverse sports and disciplines.<\/p>\n “The exchange of knowledge across various sports is often underestimated in football,” she points out. “We tend to confine ourselves to a narrow perspective, but there are far more methods we can adopt, and I find that fascinating. My desire to improve drives me, and at this stage in my career, I am committed to becoming a better person and player.”<\/p>\n “My partner is at a point in his career where he has learned from the best, and he shares that wisdom with me, which I in turn pass on to my teammates. There\u2019s incredible strength in collective growth.”<\/p>\n “I feel stronger, fitter, and more self-assured now, and ultimately, I play with joy\u2014something that can sometimes be overlooked at this level.”<\/p>\n Wubben-Moy acknowledges that various aspects of her life contribute to her football performance. “Football consumes much of my life; it is a lifestyle. However, there are elements that enhance my game that may not seem directly related,” she adds. “My ‘Lots to Explore’ initiative\u2014my community project at Arsenal, which I integrated into my contract\u2014energizes me. While it might not appear as a performance enhancer from the outside, it significantly impacts me.”<\/p>\n “When considering the finer points, my perspective is not one-dimensional or solely statistics-driven. I examine all these factors, but I also engage in additional activities that invigorate me. This approach is about intentional living, which I encourage any young player to adopt. Many are searching for an advantage, but they might not be looking in the right areas.
