Dashrath Singh, residing in Jhunjhunu district, recently received his latest accolade during the convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), where he earned a Master\u2019s degree in Vedic Studies with distinction.<\/p>\n
The 55-year-old claims to have established 11 world records, which include acknowledgments from notable organizations such as the India Book of Records, Golden Book of World Records, Asia Book of Records, and International Book of Records, all related to his educational achievements. However, while PTI has obtained images of these records, the authenticity of his claims has not been independently confirmed. Singh remarked, \u201cDespite lacking an educational background in my family, I began my academic journey at a modest village school. After finishing Class 10 at a government institution, pursuing higher education seemed unattainable due to financial limitations.\u201d<\/p>\n
Singh was born in Khirod village within the Nawalgarh tehsil, a region known for its contributions to the armed forces. He enlisted in the Indian Army in 1988 and served as a non-commissioned officer for 16 years across various locations, including Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, before retiring in 2004.<\/p>\n His academic achievements include three PhDs, seven undergraduate degrees, 46 postgraduate degrees, 23 diplomas, seven military-related degrees, and 52 certificates across diverse fields. However, his post-retirement journey has not solely revolved around accumulating qualifications. \u201cUpon retiring, I recognized the importance of contributing to the welfare of soldiers. I obtained a law degree and began my legal practice,\u201d Singh said.
