Ellie Violet Bramley\u2019s quest for an ideal children\u2019s menu struck a chord with me as a mother recently returned from France, where the typical options for kids seemed to revolve around nuggets, burgers, or fish and chips. I had hoped for a more diverse selection from our French hosts, but during my stay at a popular ski resort over Easter, it became clear they were catering to a specific clientele.<\/p>\n
To my delight, however, I experienced a pleasant surprise on my journey home with Brittany Ferries. They not only offer a dedicated children’s menu but also clearly state that all main dishes can be prepared in smaller portions for younger diners. My first child chose pork in a cider sauce, while the second opted for bavette steak, and both plates were soon empty!<\/p>\n
While I wouldn\u2019t have expected a cross-channel ferry to showcase exemplary children\u2019s cuisine, I am hopeful that this marks the beginning of a positive change in how children’s meals are approached.<\/p>\n
