On Sunday, heartfelt tributes emerged nationwide for the legendary Asha Bhosle, whose remarkable versatility and ability to adapt across various musical genres captivated countless fans and listeners.

Modi referred to Bhosle as “one of the most iconic and versatile voices India has ever known,” adding, “I will always treasure the memories of our conversations. Union Home Minister Amit Shah noted, “Asha tai not only established a distinct identity with her beautiful voice and exceptional talent but also enriched Indian music through her melodies. Her remarkable adaptability across genres won the hearts of many. Each time I met her, we engaged in long discussions about music and art.”

Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, stated, “An era of playback singing closes with her passing. A paragon of legendary versatility and grace, her unique singing style earned appreciation from millions worldwide.”

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, remarked that Bhosle’s “art will remain immortal among us.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan reflected on Bhosle’s impact, stating that her voice “has been one of the pillars of Indian cinema and will continue to resonate globally for centuries to come. A talent destined to outlive many, she always showered me with love and blessings, and I will miss her profoundly.”

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar shared, “For us, Asha tai was family. Today, words feel inadequate for the loss we experience.
