On the second day of his Australian tour, Prince Harry engaged in Aussie Rules football activities in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The Duke of Sussex was greeted at Whitten Oval in Footscray by players from the Western Bulldogs, participating in an event to support Movember.

Footballers Tom Liberatore, Adam Treloar, and Matthew Kennedy provided Harry with a brief coaching session, demonstrating the fundamentals of kicking and handballing while a crowd of journalists observed.

Representatives from Movember noted that the occasion highlighted Harry’s enthusiasm for sports and his commitment to raising awareness around men’s mental health.

Following the training session, Harry participated in a question-and-answer segment inside the facility. He then interacted with families of the players, kicked the football with local children, and watched a training practice.

Adding to the event’s charm, some members of The Wiggles were present, offering Harry a glimpse into Australia’s vibrant music culture.

In a potential recruitment gesture, the Western Bulldogs gifted Harry guernseys emblazoned with the names of his children, Archie and Lilibet. He appeared particularly taken with a Sherrin football, which he took with him as he departed the ground.

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, arrived in Melbourne on Monday, marking the start of their multi-day visit to Australia. Their itinerary included a trip to the Royal Children’s Hospital and a stop at the Australian National Veterans’ Art Museum, where they participated in a pottery class with children of veterans.

The couple plans to travel to Canberra and Sydney during their stay, where they will engage in commercial speaking engagements and attend ticketed events. Later today, Harry will head to the Australian capital for events at the Australian War Memorial, where he is scheduled to meet with Indigenous veterans and attend a Last Post Ceremony.
