“Yogi Adityanath Unveils ₹9.18 Crore Security Complex at Gorakhnath Temple, Emphasizing Safety as Key to Effective Governance”

On Thursday, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, officially opened two new security buildings located in the Gorakhnath Temple area of Gorakhpur. This initiative is regarded as a significant advancement in bolstering the security framework surrounding the sacred site, according to an official source.

During his visit, the Chief Minister evaluated the facilities and their readiness for operation. He emphasized that establishing dedicated infrastructure in sensitive locations like the Gorakhnath Temple will enhance coordination and improve response capabilities.

With a total investment exceeding Rs 9.18 crore, the newly constructed complex includes a control room, a police storage facility, and a maintenance workshop. It also accommodates the offices of the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) tasked with overseeing security at the temple.

In his remarks to those present, CM Adityanath stated, “Security is the fundamental requirement for effective governance. It is essential for every individual, and it is the government’s duty to ensure their safety.”

The Chief Minister highlighted that the establishment of dedicated offices, control rooms, and support systems will enable police personnel to operate more efficiently and maintain constant vigilance.

He pointed out that these new facilities would improve surveillance, enhance deployment strategies, and facilitate superior management of security efforts within and around the temple vicinity.

Linking this project to wider reforms, CM Adityanath remarked, “Timely hiring, adequate training, and the development of infrastructure have significantly improved police operations and contributed to a safer environment in the state.”

Addressing the living conditions for police personnel, he noted, “Previously, many officers had to depend on rented housing, which presented challenges. The addition of barracks and residential facilities has largely alleviated these concerns.”

He further explained, “In the past, we could only train about 3,000 personnel at once. Now, thanks to enhanced infrastructure, we can train nearly 60,000 individuals simultaneously.”

The Chief Minister compared the current developments with prior conditions, stating, “Many police units previously operated without sufficient infrastructure, including suitable buildings and barracks. This limited their effectiveness and sometimes hindered their ability to confront criminal activities.”

Adityanath noted that these deficiencies have now been rectified. “Today, police stations and security units are equipped with the necessary resources. There is no reason for police to feel powerless, and criminals can no longer exploit infrastructural weaknesses,” he asserted.

Stressing the importance of readiness, the Chief Minister concluded, “Proper deployment and enhanced infrastructure ensure that police personnel are always on standby and alert. Any attempts to compromise security will be met with a strong response.”
