The Madhya Pradesh Board of School Education (MPBSE) has announced that it will hold a second round of board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 students from May 7 to May 25. This opportunity is available for students to retake exams in subjects they did not pass or to improve their scores. The application process for these second board exams is currently open and will close on April 22.
According to a statement shared on X, “Examination application forms can be submitted via the MP Online Portal within seven days following the announcement of the main examination results.”
On April 15, the board released the results for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 examinations. The pass rate for regular students in Class 10 was reported at 73.42%, while Class 12 saw a pass percentage of 76.01%.
Who is eligible to apply for the improvement exams? As per the National Education Policy 2020, MPBSE is facilitating a second examination for students wishing to enhance their scores in subjects where they did not succeed, replacing the previous supplementary exam format.
How can students apply for the second board exams? Students interested in taking the second exam can complete their applications at MP Online kiosks by visiting mpbse.nic.in. They will need to provide relevant subject information, their roll number, and make a cash payment based on their results from the main examination.
Is it necessary to select subjects for the second board exam? While students must select the subjects they failed in for the second examination, choosing subjects they passed is optional.
When will the marksheets for the second exams be issued? The marksheets for the second examinations will be distributed in the same format as those for the main exams.
