Renowned actor Amitabh Bachchan recently shared his thoughts on the swift passage of time, the significance of maintaining both mental and physical activity, and the timeless virtue of patience through his blog.
In a post on Tumblr, Amitabh drew inspiration from the writings of his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, stating, “Reflecting on my father’s insights, I realize how quickly the days slip by; it feels like just yesterday we welcomed the previous month, and now another is already upon us. It serves as a reminder of the rapidity with which time elapses. Staying active is crucial. Keeping both the body and mind engaged will reveal the power of mobility — a realization that comes more readily than one might expect, rather than remaining idle for no reason.”
The esteemed actor continued, “Patience is the challenge we face moment by moment. Each instant tests our ability to remain patient, yet the rewards are significant. Not in a financial sense, but in a philosophical one. Conducting a thorough examination of this concept would be immensely beneficial. In fact, a study on any topic could provide valuable insights, serving as various strategies to navigate the challenges of life.”
Amitabh also referenced the metaphor of the bow and arrow, highlighting its historical importance in warfare, “The bow and arrow, or तीर कमान, holds significant meaning in our lives, both internally and externally. It was the first weapon designed for distance combat, evolving from that to cannons and now to missiles. While the method may have changed, the intent remains the same — to engage from afar. The days of direct confrontation, commonly referred to as ‘boots on the ground,’ have become rare. Modern warfare allows for destruction from a distance. I have stories from my great grandfather related to this, which I will share another time. For now, I wish you love and peace.”
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin. The movie, featuring stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in key roles, has grossed over Rs 1,000 crore globally. Currently, he is working on the sequel to this film.
