Trisha Krishnan’s Chennai home targeted by another bomb threat; authorities investigate second false alarm in recent months.

Actress Trisha Krishnan was allegedly the target of a bomb threat at her residence located in the Teynampet district of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Upon notification of the threat, local law enforcement and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) quickly arrived at her home to carry out a detailed search of the area. After their investigation, it was determined that the threat was unfounded.

The alarm was raised through an email sent to the Chennai city control room, which asserted that explosives had been placed in Trisha’s home, according to reports from Times of India. Emergency responders, accompanied by sniffer dogs, arrived promptly and conducted a comprehensive search of the premises. However, no dangerous materials or explosives were discovered, leading officials to conclude that the threat was a false alarm.

This incident marks the second bomb threat received by the actress in a brief period, prompting the Cyber Crime Wing of the Chennai Police to initiate an investigation. Authorities are currently working to trace the IP address associated with the threatening email and are collaborating with service providers to identify the individual responsible. A case has been filed for criminal intimidation and for disseminating false information. It is worth noting that Trisha had received a similar threat in 2025.

Earlier in the year, officials also dealt with hoax threats concerning “Superstar” Rajinikanth and National Award-winning actor Dhanush, where claims were made about bombs being planted at their homes in the Poes Garden neighborhood of Chennai. Those alerts were found to be false after investigation.

Trisha Krishnan, one of the most renowned actresses in South India, has been in the news since February, albeit not for positive reasons. Recently, her public appearance alongside Vijay at a wedding reception, shortly after Sangeetha filed for divorce in court, garnered significant media attention. The two were seen together at the event, further igniting longstanding rumors regarding their relationship, which they have not publicly addressed.

In terms of her professional endeavors, Trisha was last featured in the film “Thug Life,” directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan. She is now preparing for the release of “Karuppu,” directed by RJ Balaji and featuring Suriya. Meanwhile, Vijay is concentrating on the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), while his film “Jana Nayagan” is still awaiting release.
