The Ministry of Railways has announced the preliminary timetable for the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) associated with CEN 07/2025, aimed at filling Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) undergraduate positions. As per the official communication, the CBT-1 is set to occur in several phases during May and June 2026, accommodating the extensive applicant pool. The exam dates are confirmed for May 7, 8, and 9, with additional slots on June 13 and 14, and then from June 16 to June 21.
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will oversee the NTPC examination, conducting it at various centers nationwide as part of the ongoing recruitment process.
Candidates will have the opportunity to verify their designated exam city and date via a link that will be activated 10 days prior to their scheduled test. This notification will assist applicants in organizing their travel and accommodation plans. Additionally, for candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the same portal will offer access to travel authority documents. The RRBs have emphasized that all pertinent information will be available exclusively through their official websites.
Admit cards, or e-call letters, will be issued four days before the exam date. Candidates are required to bring a printed version of their admit card along with a valid photo identification to gain entry to the examination venue. Access will be denied without these essential documents.
Furthermore, biometric authentication linked to Aadhaar will be implemented at the exam locations prior to candidates being allowed entry. Applicants must present either their original Aadhaar card or a printed copy of a verified e-Aadhaar. It is crucial that the details on the Aadhaar, including name, date of birth (as per Class 10 records), photograph, address, and father’s name, are accurate and current. Candidates should also ensure that their Aadhaar is unlocked in the UIDAI system on the exam day to prevent any issues during verification.
The Railway Recruitment Boards have urged candidates to consult only official channels for updates and announcements. They have also warned against fraudulent individuals or agencies that may claim to offer jobs for a fee, reiterating that the selection will strictly depend on performance in the Computer Based Test.
