Live Updates on CBSE 10th Grade Results 2026: Scorecards Expected to Be Released Shortly at cbseresults.nic.in and DigiLocker

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to announce the results for the Class 10 board examinations shortly. Students will be able to access their results on the official CBSE websites, including cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. To retrieve their scores, students must log in using their credentials on the CBSE result portal.

This year’s CBSE Class 10 examinations commenced on February 17 and concluded on March 6, 2026. A total of 25,08,319 candidates participated in the examinations, which included 14,08,546 boys and 10,99,773 girls. The assessments were conducted across 8,075 centers for 83 different subjects.

In a significant change this year, the CBSE is conducting the Class 10 board exams twice to alleviate student stress and mitigate the pressure associated with a single high-stakes evaluation. This approach allows students a second opportunity to enhance their scores, enabling them to retain their highest marks.

The second round of CBSE Class 10 examinations is anticipated to commence around May 15, as per the preliminary schedule released earlier. The official date sheet is forthcoming and is expected to be shared soon after the announcement of the results.

Students who do not pass certain subjects in the initial exam will have the chance to take the second set of exams, ensuring they do not lose an academic year and can successfully complete their subjects within the same academic session.

Once the first round of results is announced, students will have the option to sit for the second examination in May to improve their performance. They may choose to retake up to three subjects, which can include science, mathematics, social science, or languages.

This year marks the first instance of CBSE conducting two sets of board exams for Class 10, a reform aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 aimed at easing the burden of a single high-stakes examination by providing students with another chance.

CBSE previously indicated that the results for the first phase of Class 10 exams would be released in April. Following this schedule, the results are now anticipated to be announced later this week, with students eagerly awaiting the official updates on the CBSE result portals.

The CBSE Class 10 results for 2026 are expected to be made available this week, likely around April 15, in accordance with earlier communications from the board regarding an April release timeframe. The board has maintained a tight schedule this year due to the introduction of the second examination cycle planned for May.
