A significant partnership has been established between the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) and XpressJobs, aimed at enhancing career access for students throughout their educational journey.
APIIT, a prominent educational institution in Sri Lanka, is well-regarded for its internationally recognized academic programs and its focus on preparing graduates for the workforce. XpressJobs stands out as one of the leading job portals in the country, utilizing advanced recruitment technology and recognized as a pioneer in the local job market. The platform also operates several sub-brands, including rakiya.lk, internjobs.lk, and hrnews.lk.
This collaboration will see XpressJobs incorporate an interactive job portal into both APIIT’s Learning Management System (LMS) and its official website, granting students immediate access to job opportunities across various industries.
Students will have the chance to investigate career options in sectors such as Finance, Sales, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Legal, Hospitality, Human Resources, IT, Supply Chain, in addition to internships and remote/hybrid positions. This initiative ensures that students can engage with internship, part-time, and full-time roles, facilitating a smooth transition into the workforce while they continue their studies or immediately after graduation.
The integration also aims to keep students updated on hiring trends, high-demand job roles, and changing industry needs, empowering them to make informed and proactive career choices without having to wait until they complete their studies.
As part of this alliance, XpressJobs will assist APIIT in developing and maintaining a comprehensive internal database of student CVs. This will enable the institution to have a clear view of its current and former students’ talent pool, enhancing its understanding of the profiles it is contributing to the job market and reinforcing its reputation for producing work-ready graduates.
Moreover, XpressJobs will facilitate career development and industry-centric workshops for APIIT students. A recent session for business students introduced them to recruitment technologies as part of their HR curriculum and offered access to a Recruitment Technology Specialization certification, along with practical experience with industry-standard Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Both organizations expressed their excitement about the prospect of deepening their collaboration, noting the strong engagement achieved through previous initiatives. XpressJobs praised APIIT students for their entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability, qualities that are increasingly essential in the evolving job landscape.
This partnership embodies a mutual commitment to connect education with employment by integrating tangible opportunities, insights, and technology into the student experience from the outset.
