Just two days prior to the anticipated discussion of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in a special session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of passing amendments to the Women Reservation Act. Modi further asserted that the strength of democracy would be enhanced if the upcoming Lok Sabha and several Assembly elections in 2029 were conducted with the full implementation of women’s reservation in place.
